After 3 long months, Google’s Major visible Pagerank update has finally arrived. The previous update took place on 31st December 2009, here’s the post informing about it : Google’s Dec 09 Major Pagerank Update.
I myself can confirm this as the Pagerank of 3 of my sites has changed. Techfrog.org itself has moved from PR2 to PR3.

There have been minor changes in the SERPs in the past few days, however there has been no official announcement about Google’s much awaited ‘Caffeine Update’ which is supposed to be a major infrastructure update.
Matt Cutts had mentioned in Dec 09 that it can be expected after the holidays(Christmas), however there is no news of it at the moment.
Following are the Official Pagerank update related threads(Discussion Topics) on various forums :

There have been rumors that Google could implement the Caffeine algorithmic update after a PR update, however its better if we wait for any official confirmation.
