What’s the effective solution: Content or Marketing?

First, lets look at content. Content is considered king of all techniques, be it success in Internet marketing or blogging business as stated by many blog masters. One of the most efficient ways to drive traffic to ones blog is by adding quality content to it. Thus, content is similar to the heart of a blog while traffic is like its soul. These 2 elements are of prime importance to sustain in the blogging world. But, on the other hand, is plain possession of content on your blog sufficient to gain success in online businesses? One may know or have read about many great articles, but are they really attracting much traffic. The answer is no in most cases. What this means is that those great articles didn’t acquire substantial returns from search engines in order to gain free traffic. In such cases, the author gets disheartened and abandon their blogs. So what can be done to avoid this? Maybe, marketing holds the solution…
I once read an article written by a blogger. In it. he revealed his secret as to why marketing is the vital ingredient and not the content. Initially, when i read this article, I became convinced that he is right. However, later I understood that marketing blogs minus quality content is the equivalent of attempting to sell stale food in a market! Few would like to visit your blog again if it lacks quality information which your readers crave?
On comparing these 2 great methods, I found out out that both these 2 techniques are a must if you desire success in your blogging and Internet marketing activities online. One you have added sufficient quality content to your blog, the marketing processes you knew should be used to obtain traffic. Thus, the content on the blog must be marketed in order to gather viewers or readers on it.
Just having quality contents on your blog is not sufficient as no one is reading or viewing it and it only utilizes your time and hard work without providing you with any returns.

I think blog promotion is key. Having good content is important but the most popular blogs are not the ones with the best content but the ones who market the best. Case in point, John Chow…content is average but he knows how to market.

You need rich content to promote it later. If you consider SEO copywriting, it’s going to promote itself on the search engines, but it may not be enough. Once you build unique original content, you can start your marketing campaign.
Without such content, marketing turns to be a chaotic scream and nothing more.
